6th - 12 November

A very very big than you to Shane, Rula and little Taylor for having me on my 21st birthday. I really enjoyed every second of every day. From the moment I arrived the fishing was great, much better than the UK. I came here to beat my pb carp and did that three times on the first day ( 21 lb common, 26 lb common, 27 lb common and then a 44 lb common all on my first day. Caught many more through out the week, the sun was shining and had a lovely time.

The chalet was so nice and clean with nice rooms and great kitchen, very well equiped.

Shane gave me some tips on fishing his lake and they worked a treat, I had many of the carp thanks to Shane, including my new pb :)

I will be back in 2012 with my partner and baby for one of those fifties.

Thank you Shane and Rula for a wonderful relaxing week. We needed a break and you provided the perfect one with the chalet. The small details made it faultless, your kindness and attention made it very homely and special.

Roo caught a 33 lb mirror carp & a 31 lb common carp and this was a lazy fisherman ! Really enjoyed it ! Will be back to try out the lodge, looks amazing !! and do some full on fishing ! We may leave the lake next time---but probably not, why would we want to ? :)

A very big thanks to our hosts Shane, Rula & Little Taylor. We had a fantastic weeks holiday here, the company was great and the accommodation was perfect, Shane and Rula are two lovely people, laid back and very easy to get on with and talk to. Shane was also very helpful with advise and tips on fishing his two lakes, which are full of huge carp. Everything we needed was catered for and accommodated our needs. Dax city near by is beautiful with plenty of site seeing and shopping. We will definately come back, maybe next year.

We have all enjoyed a great week which sadly went too quickly. The chalet is very well equipped and the attention to detail and personal touches sets it apart from others we have stayed in. The pool was great for the children and Daniel enjoyed the fishing. Would definately love to book again next time we holiday in France.

Thank you so much to Shane and Rula for an amazing weeks holiday in the lake side chalet. Andy caught loads of carp, his first pb of 21 lb then another pb of 28 lb , then his best of the weeks fishing holiday of 41 lb, he is a very happy man !! We have enjoyed being welcomed during our stay and all the facilities for us around the chalet. Needless to say, we will be back and will look forward to seeing you again.

Thanks to Shane and Rula for all there help and providing us with a stunning chalet, top fishing, swimming pool and company that is second to none. We have had a lovely relaxing honeymoon and have met two amazing people and their beautiful baby son Taylor. We miss you already but we will be back in the season to share this heaven with you. I have had two personal bests with a 34 lb mirror carp and also a lovely 20 lb common carp which I know is only small to what is actually in the lakes.

Thanks for a great time, the chalet is perfect and very well equiped. Didn't fish much but still had a new pb all the same. The local beaches are fab, lots of big waves. We will definatly be back.

We would like to say thank you to Shane and Rula for a great holiday. Shame about the spawning, but at least we had a few on the bank. We are all coming back in June when the carp should be feeding better. Shane and Rula are the best hosts I have ever come across, very helpfull the whole holiday.

What can we say, everything was perfect. Had the best time ever and the weather was perfect to go with it. The chalet is spot on and couldn't ask for better. To top it all off, a massive personal best carp at a whoping 49 lb 10 oz, YeeHaa !!!

Thanks for a lovely holiday here, the weather was fantastic, hot & sunny, we are all leaving tanned and re-couped. Best bits of the holiday were playing and fishing here, two days at the river at Sauveterre, swimming drawing & fish watching, not forgetting Jakes plunge of the bridge into the water below ! (MAD). Beautiful place though , like wise Artoust up in the mountains , what veiws ! with lunch in the square at Laruns before. Lovely to see the Pyreneen mountain dog at work with his sheep & the bell clad cows seen on the mountains later being herded down the mountain road along with the working horses and men on foot. (like stepping back in time)

Thank you to both of you for making our fortnights break so very memorable. The place is beautiful & peaceful and the combined accommodation in the lodge and chalet excellent and very well equipped. We are seasoned travellers in France but this place and the very special attention and friendliness of Shane & Rula, have made it a yardstick of the very best way to run a holiday site. Nothing was too much trouble and we are all mightily impressed in all respects. Suffice to say we will most definitly return, most probably at a cooler time of the year for me and the carp.

A simply wonderful experience !

It was great in the chalet for Christmas. Christmas day was brill walking along the beach with Shane Rula, & dogs. Rick cooked a great Christmas dinner for us all, Shane & Rula's company was great all day. New years eve was brill at Rulas mums house, was made to feel very welcome. Very sad to be going home this time. Will be back in the summer.

Had a fantastic holiday, a great base from which to explore the area, something for everyone. The kids want to come back again, we loved the peace & quiet !!
